Kristin Fisher joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. As a correspondent, she covers everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin was the daughter of NASA astronauts and an avid space fan has spent her entire childhood in the field. She worked for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Trump and Biden Administrations. During that time she also covered two impeachment proceedings for President Trump and the presdiential 2020 campaign, as well as two administration's attempts to control the coronavirus pandemic. The reporter also went on numerous journeys with the Vice President and President of the United States, including a top secret trip to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin utilized her knowledge behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The firm specialized in making documentary films and was a favorite among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, which she obtained from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
